James Woodward

Mr. Woodward has spent over 25 years in early-stage medical device,
diagnostic, and healthcare service companies with strong experience in
financial direction, general management, M&A/licensing, and product
development strategy.  He was most recently President & CEO of Encelle
Inc., a venture-backed developer of tissue-regenerative biopolymers,
acquired by Pioneer Surgical Technology (“PST”) last year.  He has been
consulting with PST outlicensing the Encelle technologies outside of
orthopedics and spine, completing licenses for cosmetic surgery and
animal health applications.

Earlier, Mr. Woodward was also a Co-founder, Director, and acting CFO of
Accordant Health Services (a provider of chronic disease management
services until it was bought by Advance PCS).  He also served as acting
Chairman & CEO of Aprex Corporation (a turnaround drug compliance
devices/monitors firm ultimately acquired by Apria Corporation).  In that role
he hired new management, redirected strategy, and secured financing.
Concurrently, he was General Manager of Intella Systems, a deflectable
tip coronary catheters and guide wires company start-up, leading the
management team and key technical personnel.  Before Intella, Mr.
Woodward had been President & CEO of Cardiometrics, a maker of
invasive blood flow measuring devices (public when acquired by Endosonics).

Also in California, Mr. Woodward was CFO and Director of Advanced
Cardiovascular Systems, Inc., the second company to market coronary
angioplasty catheters (acquired by Eli Lilly and later part of Guidant
Corporation).  He was a Co-founder and Director of Interventional
Technologies (acquired by Boston Scientific) and Ventana Medical Systems
(acquired by Roche).

Mr. Woodward began his business career as a management consultant with
McKinsey & Company working in Dallas, Amsterdam, San Francisco and
Sydney.  He served in the Navy on a nuclear submarine and holds an A.B.
in economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Stanford
University Graduate School of Business.
