John J. Seman

Mr. Seman has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry spanning multiple aspects of product development and commercialization including preclinical research, regulatory services, portfolio management, pricing, reimbursement, managed care and product launch. 

Mr. Seman began his career in large pharmaceutical corporations working for E. R. Squibb & Sons and Johnson & Johnson, holding various management positions in sales, marketing and business development.  During this tenure, he was a team member responsible for the launch of Capoten, the first ACE Inhibitor, which achieved sales of $100 million in the first year, managed a portfolio of biotech products valued at over $500 million, and participated in the successful launch of multiple pharmaceutical products.

In the past 15 years, Mr. Seman has provided leadership for the expansion of central laboratory services into the global market for Covance (formerly a Corning company); built an innovative technology based company, AVANTEC, to accelerate the receipt of clinical trial data; engineered a return to profitability for the medical marketing services division of Parexel; grew and positioned a reimbursement services company, HealthBridge, for sale; secured funding for a preclinical start up company, PhysioGenix, which developed new genetically-engineered predictive animal models, and managed a turnaround for a drug development consulting firm, Fulcrum Pharma.

Mr. Seman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, and a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Economics and Business Administration, from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.  He remains an active participant in many industry conferences and associations, including BIO, DIA and PhRMA.
